In 1995 he worked as a High School dormitory teacher at NCSD for five years before securing a position as high school Job Coach in 2000, now in his second year.  He is certainly no stranger to the deaf school and community since his involvement goes back to the establishment of the NCSD Historical Museum in 1977 and as President of NCSD Alumni Association from 1992 to 1996, both of which he is still active to this day.  Presently, he is the Circulation Manager of The Bugler.

He makes his home in Hickory, NC with his wife, Patricia and teenage son, Brian.
